The Nativity of the Lord Jesus Church has a museum adjacent to its chapel that displays on a rotating basis a collection of 500+ nativity sets from around the world. The church basement also includes The Bethlehem Cave, a replica of the cave where Jesus was born. Call to schedule a group or personal tour.

The Comboni Missionaries hosted their first Nativity Experience in 1947, in the carriage house of their Sacred Heart Seminary on Beechmont Road. Called the "Crib" in those days, the outbuilding recreated the Italian tradition of celebrating Christmas with scenes of the Nativity. Seminarians gathered rocks and moss from the area and created an impressive diorama of the Palestinian countryside, complete with cardboard starry sky, rivers, hills, and villages. Imported statuettes of the Holy Family, the ox and ass, angels, shepherds, kings, sheep and even a dog all had a role as dramatic lights and music carried a magical retelling of the Christmas story.

Now in its 78th year, the Nativity Experience has grown to be a family favorite for generations. We hope you'll join us again this year in celebrating the birth of our Savior. From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!

Featuring hand carved nativities, angels, interior & exterior sculptures. We are a seasonal home boutique gift shop located on three historic acres in suburban Cleveland. Situated on a former early 20th century Jerusalem artichoke farm, our home was built in 1910 by entrepreneur Fred Langer and his wife Rosemary. The 150 year old barn houses the studio of renowned sculptor Norbert Koehn. We feature gifts from our studio and around the world for all occasions.

Since 1962 a sweeping life size nativity scene had graced the grounds of the State Auto building on East Broad St in downtown Columbus and it was something of a seasonal ritual for many families. 10,000 visitors still come to view the nativity now located at St. Joseph Cathedral. State Auto insurance company was purchased by Liberty Mutual Group, headquartered in Boston - donated its Nativity Scene to the Museum of Catholic Art and History, which, in turn, has provided it to St. Joseph Cathedral, also on East Broad Street, for display each year.

The Marian Library Creche Collection began in 1984 thanks to the generous contributions of friends and donors. It has grown into an extensive collection of over 3,600 Nativity sets from around the world. The Creche Collection celebrates diverse Nativity traditions, adapted in different materials and styles, from over 100 cultures. A different selection of Nativity sets is exhibited in an annual Christmas exhibit throughout three galleries in Roesch Library, on the campus of the University of Dayton.

The Marian Library Creche Collection began in 1984 thanks to the generous contributions of friends and donors. It has grown into an extensive collection of over 3,600 Nativity sets from around the world. The Creche Collection celebrates diverse Nativity traditions, adapted in different materials and styles, from over 100 cultures. A selection of Nativity sets is on display year-round in the Creche Museum, featuring "Mirror of Hope," a 12-foot-wide, 5-foot-high art installation with over 200 hand-painted clay figures by artist Kevin Hanna. With the birth of Christ at its center, surrounded by scenes from the Old and New Testaments, "Mirror of Hope" depicts the visual story of Creation, Incarnation, Resurrection, and Redemption.

Since 2003, the Historic Kirtland Visitors Center has been home to a free annual Nativity exhibit assembled by the local congregations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With carefully cataloged sets in a permanent collection mixed with donations and displays on loan from residents, no exhibit is the same from year to year. Also on view is a collection of postcards of Christmas greetings featuring imagery of the Nativity, and several cards from the personal collection of Cleveland artist and designer Viktor Schreckengost. Children can also participate in arts and educational activities as well as a treasure hunt for finding certain detiails in the Nativity displays.

Each year, hundreds of exquisite Nativity displays bring the spirit of the season to life at Historic Kirtland, drawing visitors from across Ohio and beyond. This year, the collection will also be showcased at the Kirtland Temple Visitors’ Center.

Crafted from a stunning variety of materials—including traditional fabrics, glass, porcelain, jewels, hand-carved wood, clay, and more—these Nativities reflect the beauty and diversity of cultures around the world. You and your family are invited to join us as we experience the peaceful reverence and artistic wonder of the season.

Come visit our room-filling display filled with immersive scenes, located at our Carnegie Center on 10th Street. Admission is free thanks to our local sponsors. This display is primarly comprised of 5" Fontanini figures and structures suplimented with additional custom figures from Spain. This display fills a significant room in the center. Additional nativity displays and traditional Christmas displays will also be presented. Our permanent displays of Lorains history are also viewable. The Center is fully handicap accessable.

For 73 years Salvatore Kovach has opened his house for the public to view the nativity scene in his home, a tradition that has carried on since his grandfather began the display in 1919. The more intricate of the open house's two scenes in the presepio style, features the people in the town of Bethlehem with over 2,000 pieces.

From November 28th through January 11th, 2026, the Shrine will again be hosting a Nativity Exhibit from the donated collection of Tim and Katheleen Nealeigh. You will be able to view more than 60 nativity sets and see how the simple scene of Christ in the manger with Mary and Joseph has been interpreted in many cultures over the years. The Relic Shrine's Upper Room will be filled with sets from differing time periods, cultures, and artistic mediums. It is a wonderful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas as well as a way to foster discussion about how this holiday has been observed by many different cultures from across the globe. Since the first nativity scene was developed by Saint Francis of Assisi, different people have been putting their own spin on the birth of Christ. This display of nativities showcases the various ways Jesus' birth has been interpreted. Bring the whole family for this wonderful reminder of the reason for the season with this free exhibit.

Firelands Habitat for Humanity will be hosting a nativity fest at Christ Community Church with over 50 nativities on display with 15 countries represented. There will, also, be an art exhibit called "The Art of Advent". Free will offerings will be accepted at the door.

Now in its 7th year, this Christmas festival celebrates the beauty and diversity of the Christmas Creche and the universal language of Christmas music. Come and enjoy local bands on Friday nights in the gallery (Carols & Cocktails sing-a-long), and a Sunday concert series that includes Asteria String Quartet, Academy Brass Quintet, pipe organ and Transiberian Solstice as musical performers. More than 800 nativities are staged among decorated trees and tablescapes. A favorite activity for students is the Scavenger Hunt, and guests of all ages enjoy cookies and seasonal snacks in the gallery. The Nativity Festival is free, but donations appreciated. A Free-Will offering will be taken at each concert.

Gesu parishioner Cathy Lincoln has generously donated a wide range of Nativity scenes to Gesu Church in memory of her mother, Emma Lincoln. The extensive and colorful collection is in the Nativity Room off of the Gesu Church narthex.

For the second year, we will have a wonderful display of Creche/Nativities on display in the church gathering space, available for viewing on Sunday, Dec 8 and Dec 15, 8 AM through Noon, or by appointment. The church is open weekdays 9-3 PM.

The Festival of the Nativity is a free interdenominational community Christmas event held each year in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at St. John Catholic Church. The anchor event is a display of hundreds of nativities representing the cultures of people throughout the world. Located in Father Lynch Hall of St John Catholic Church.

Please join us in celebrating this Christmas season with songs and performances from local community members followed by a display of Nativities from around the world. The music devotional will last one hour fifteen minutes followed by a nativity display to view at your own pace. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome. Since 1937, Central Moravian has been offering a Community Putz for the City of Bethlehem. Like a creche, a putz tells the story of Jesus' birth with carved figures. A cherished tradition, the Putz (from the German word putzen, meaning "to decorate") retells the wonderful story of Christ's birth through narration and music, while tiny lights illuminate each miniature scene. The figures, many of them antiques of German origin, are nestled amidst live moss, driftwood and rocks. The practice of putz building is uniquely Moravian. Bethlehem's first settlers brought their putz figures with them in the 18th century. In Victorian days, it was the custom in Bethlehem for Moravians to 'go putzing' during the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's, enjoying others' putzes.

Glencairn Museum's annual World Nativities exhibition presents dozens of three-dimensional Nativity scenes collected from around the world. For many Christians, the Nativity scene is a meaningful expression of religious faith, providing a compelling visual focus during the Christmas season. World Nativities shows how artists adapt the Nativity scene to represent their own spiritual, intellectual, cultural, and regional environments. Settings for many of the Nativities have been created by Bryn Athyn artist Kathleen Glenn Pitcairn.

Located in historic Bucks County, PA, one room of Visitors' Center displays more than 200 creches from around the world, including an 18th century presepio.

National Christmas Center in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. In addition to its other Christmas exhibits, the museum offers a collection of 1000 nativity sets from different eras and from different countries. 300 Nativity sets on display, including the contemporary collection of Jay Bullock. There is a large selection of 20th century Nativities, Pennsylvania Moravian Putz, a magnificent life-size hand carved 20-piece Italian Nativity (late 1800's) and 10 life cast figures in a nativity setting. Adults (18+) $22; Child (5-17) $12; Child (4 & under) - Free. Bus tour groups may arrange tours for other times of the year.

Chinese creche brought from China in 1943 by missionary, Deacon Katherine Putnam who served there for 33 years. Located inside chapel year round; moved into church during christmas season.

The Nationality Rooms were designed to represent and celebrate the cultures of various ethnic groups that settled in Allegheny County. The thirty-one Nationality Rooms located on the first and third floors of the Cathedral of Learning are a community space where visitors are invited to experience the rich heritage of the communities who inspired and supported their creation. The Nationality Rooms are also in use as university classrooms, giving students the opportunity to engage in learning in a unique setting that helps them to explore the historic diversity of the Pittsburgh region.
The Nationality Rooms are decorated for the holidays and many include creches representative of the cultures. Paid tours only. Tours need to be scheduled in advance.

This privately-owned manger at the US Steel Plaza is a larger-than-life nativity scene. It is the world's only replica of the Vatican's St. Peter's Square display in Rome. Louis D. Astorino, chairman of the Pittsburgh architectural firm L. D. Astorino Companies, was on a business trip in Rome. While there he visited the Vatican's Creche. He was so moved he felt compelled to bring a similar one to Pittsburgh. Astorino sought approval from Vatican officials and procured the actual plans for the creche. He then commissioned its gifted sculptor, Pietro Simonelli, to recreate the figures for Pittsburgh's creche.

Since 1957, Carnegie Museum of Art has marked the holiday season with the Neapolitan presepio. A centuries-old tradition in Naples and southern Italy, the presepio is an elaborate nativity scene. Tickets may be purchase online or at the door. Adults $25, Seniors $20, Children 2 and under Free, Children 3 to 18 & Student with ID $15

"Wisemen Seek Him Nativity Display" is a beautiful display of over 1,600 nativity scenes showing the birth of Christ through the eyes of the world. In the quaint setting of Langdon Center's Gordon House, see this wonderful collection depicting how Christ's birth is celebrated. This is a FREE ANNUAL EVENT sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

"From the Manger to the HEARTh" Open to the General Public, Free Admission, Free Parking

More than 200 nativities, including one made of chocolate, will be displayed. One of the most interesting is the one made by Karla Faye Tucker, who is the last woman to be executed in the state of Texas. While she was on death row, she was said to have had a faith conversion, and she made a nativity set out of the little pieces of wood and whatever else she would find. It is part of the permanent collection at Christ the King.

A live nativity for the whole community: A Night in Old Bethlehem invites the community to discover the birth of Christ as they explore the town of Bethlehem at the annual Sights and Sounds of Christmas celebration in San Marcos, Texas held the first two weeks in December. The Christmas Story inspires hope and peace as we present the live nativity, complete with The Holy Family, angels, shepherds, wise men and animals. Bethlehem is a historical perspective of the birth of Christ in a family friendly environment with a focus on FREE interactive activities for children. This is our Christmas gift to the community.

Bethlehem in Denton County is a small gallery built on a family farm Northern Texas. Judy Klein has amassed a large private collection of more than 3,500 creches and nativity scenes. Dating back to the early 19th century and representing over 60 countries and cultures, the depictions of the Holy Family vary in sizes from 6 ft. banners to the tiniest tables whose detail is best viewed with the aid of a magnifying glass on your tour. Guests are welcome to visit Bethlehem in Denton County year round by appointment only. Groups of 12 persons maximum.

Create lasting memories as you craft a beaded necklace or mold a clay lamp, try your hand at tossing a dreidel, watch our skilled blacksmith forge tools, and meet our gentle manger animals including donkeys, camels, and more.

The centerpiece of the celebration is our spectacular live outdoor musical nativity production, with performances scheduled throughout the evening. This moving presentation features beautiful music, inspiring songs, stunning pageantry, live animals, and talented local actors and actresses bringing the Christmas story to life.

The Alpine Living Nativity is a charity organization where we put on a "living" nativity scene. There is a walk through Bethlehem city, live animals, the 3 wise men, baby Jesus, and complimentary Hot Chocolate to accompany you on your journey back to your car. This is an outdoor event! There is quite a bit of walking involved so we recommend wearing winter boots that you don't mind getting a little dirty. There is a section of the nativity that is inside a barn but the majority being outside. PLEASE dress appropriately for the weather. Free, but tickets are required. Parking will be in the church parking lot at 890 N Heritage Hills Dr Alpine, UT 84004.

The American Fork Amphitheater is transformed into an immersive Bethlehem set as well as a Hallmark Christmas Village with live performances, Santa and his sleigh, fire pits, and vendors selling handmade gifts by local artisans and craftsman.

Kick off the Christmas season with the Delta Creche Festival December 4th - 6th. Walk through displays of nativity sets from all over the world. This FREE event features live Christmas music, crafts for kids, and digital giving machines. Casual dress, nondenominational, everyone welcome.

An exhibit of over 600 nativities and art objects representing the birth of Jesus Christ. It is provided by volunteers in the Draper Community to share the love and light of Jesus Christ. Join us for the annual Live Nativity Christmas Celebration at the Wasatch County Events Center. With live performances starting at 6:00 pm and again at 7:30 pm for three displays with script and music. Surrounded by live animals and a manger, the story of the birth of Jesus is played out by volunteers. Angels and donkeys join in as the story unfolds in front of your eyes. Please enter at the main entrance of the Event Center. There will be a food drive at the entrance, so please bring extra food to donate, if possible. Presented by MIRO Industries, this display focuses on the simplicity of the Christmas holiday as the Nativity is offered complimentary to our community.

Midway Boosters are sponsoring the Midway Festival of Crèches Dec. 5th through 8th, 2025, at the Midway Town Hall with the theme “Majesty in the Manger”. Free admission

Experience a Live Nativity in a rustic barn setting to remember the reason for the season (The Nativity presentation repeats continuously throughout each evening). Then see an actual camel, donkeys, sheep, and other barnyard animals. Stay warm at a fire barrel while sipping delicious hot chocolate, and take a wagon ride around the pasture.

Now in it's 20th year, the Payson Community Creche has become a cherished holiday tradition for families throughout southern Utah County. This free, family-friendly event invites the community to celebrate the Christmas season with a focus on Christ, bringing together hundreds of nativity displays from around the world and beautiful live musical performances. Hosted at the Payson Utah Mount Nebo Stake Center (608 W 1400 S, Payson), visitors can enjoy inspiring indoor exhibits that reflect the true meaning of Christmas. Then, continue the experience outdoors with a peaceful walk-through light and nativity display, followed by candlelight caroling at Hope Baptist Church. Free admission.

The Healer Nativity is your new favorite Christmas tradition! The Healer Nativity is a community effort of remarkable scale. It was created in partnership with the cities of Provo and Orem and supported by Aptive Environmental, UCCU, and dozens of local businesses. This event will bring together over 1,000 volunteers, 50 vendors each night, dozens of local choirs, and multiple Christian faiths to create an unforgettable Christmas experience. For 22 nights, families across Utah Valley will gather here to celebrate the story that heals hearts and unites communities.

This inter-faith celebration is a seasonal favorite that features live animals, scenes from the town of Bethlehem, musical performers and a "live" nativity scene. Bring a canned or dry-packaged food for the Utah Food Bank.

Step into the quiet of the Village and feel what Christmas was like in an era long forgotten. Candlelight Christmas celebrates the holiday season in a setting where the clock stopped over a century ago. Streets are filled with the sounds of the Heritage Carolers and familiar scents of Christmas fill the air. Unforgettable holiday activities take place in historic homes throughout the Village. Children enjoy a visit with Father Christmas, and parents can see if their little ones are on the naughty or nice list! In the peace of the Village the live nativity will touch the hearts of young and old alike.

Celebrate the Season: Annual Lighting of Benson Grist Mill Historic Site. Get ready to ignite the magic of the holiday season at our annual lighting event at Benson Grist Mill Historic Site! Join us for an enchanting evening with festive activities, entertainment, and community spirit. Event Highlights:
Live Nativity: Experience the timeless story of Christmas come to life with a captivating live Nativity scene.
Entertainment: Enjoy performances that will spread holiday cheer.
Food Drive: In the spirit of giving, we'll collect non-perishable food items for the Tooele County Food Bank. Please bring a canned good to donate and receive a treat from us! (One per person, while supplies last.)

See the Leesburg Nativity Tour on Parade as part of the Leesburg Christmas and Holiday Parade. Free Nativity Tour ornaments will be given away while supplies last along with other treats. Leisurely stroll through historic Leesburg visiting shops and restaurants displaying the Nativity Tour sign or use the "Loudoun Awakening" mobile app (download from any app store). Sometimes the nativity will be displayed in a front window, other times venture into the store to search for it. Pick up the promotion card and get it stamped at merchants. Fill up your card and get a free hot beverage from Trinity House Cafe. In honor of the 800th anniversary of the first nativity by St. Francis of Assisi, we have expanded the number of merchants and secured many new nativities never on display before.

Nativity Festival with community submissions, featured artist sculptor Lawrence W Bechtel and his sculpted nativity. The event includes a digital presentation of nativity paintings as seen through the eyes of great artists.

Come celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with us at this year’s Nativity Festival—featuring live music, stunning nativity displays and artwork, children’s activities and of course, Christmas cookies. This is a free, family-friendly community event.

All are welcome at this joyous, FREE, Christmas celebration featuring musical performances, beautiful artwork, children's activities, and over 500 creches on display from around the world. For more than a decade, the Bellevue Festival of the Nativity has been a cherished tradition for those in the greater Seattle area. It is a must see this 2025 holiday season!
- INCREDIBLE REPRESENTATIONS OF CHRIST and his LIFE: Enjoy the beauty of over 500 creches from around the world, a life-size replica of the inn at Bethlehem, nearly 150 Christmas trees, and so much more!
- DAILY MUSICAL PERFORMANCES: Before, during, or after viewing the beautiful depictions of Christ, enjoy daily live musical performances from local musicians and choral groups.
- CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES: Children will be able to enjoy child-friendly nativities, activities, and a nativity photo backdrop (costumes provided)!
- LIFE OF CHRIST ROOM: Immerse yourself in a reflective, Christ-centered experience as you view the life of the Savior Jesus Christ, through a variety of art and displays.

"The Joy to the World Nativity Collection". Over 500 nativities from more than 65 countries, collected by Bill and Susanne Gay.

Neapolitan Nativity Scene from (Creche) from the mid 1700s, Naples Italy, A gift of Loretta Howard Sturgis. In addition to the Holy Family, the scenes would include angels, putti (little angels), shepherds, the Magi, and a host of barnyard animals. The most elaborate creche scenes would include daily life in Naples, such as the market, resulting in a lively scene mixing the sacred and the secular that could fill entire rooms. The figures themselves were crafted by some of the most distinguished artists of the day. The faces, known for their lively expressions and delicate features, are not molded but are one-of-a-kind sculptures. Bodies were usually made of hemp wrapped around a framework of iron wire that allowed the owner to vary the pose and posture of the figure. The heads and limbs were generally made of painted wood or terracotta. Placed on the main level in the European art section.
