An Easter Word from our President

Who would have known that in 2020, we would be seeking peace in a shelter during challenging times - almost like the Holy Family?  I hope this finds you well and safe.  I am so grateful we were able to celebrate a blessed and peaceful season of the nativity before this all hit.

Many are finding the quarantine at home to be hard.  I have found that it has been a gift.  I have slowed down.  I have gone back to cooking healthy meals in lieu of fast food and restaurants.  I have begun to dabble in container gardening.   I have begun to pick up projects throughout my home that have been put aside for years with the excuse I would get to it “when I had time”….I think the time is now!!  My focus is a bit frazzled…I have started but not yet completed any one plan.  I begin work then move to the TV to follow the latest virus news and life often is once again stalled.  But, projects are in motion.

One project is to organize my nativity collection.  At the 2009 Salt Lake City convention, member Louise Polsky of California presented her method for documenting her nativity collection.  I came home and was inspired to begin my own file.  I made it up to my additions in 2015….I need to catch up.  So, this is one of many projects on my “containment list” – it is always good to have a plan.

This has become longer than I planned – but I did want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe and stay healthy! Have a blessed Easter week!
