Convention Highlights
You will be transported by chartered coach buses to some of Washington, D. C.'s finest nativity displays and amazing sights.
FRANCISCAN MONASTERY OF THE HOLY LAND OF AMERICA
At the Franciscan Monastery, we will tour replicas of the Holy Land shrines. This visit is highlighted by their annual nativity collection representing over 100 countries. We will also hear a presentation celebrating the 800th anniversary of the first staged nativity scene by St. Francis of Assisi in 1223.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
The Festival of Lights at the Washington, D. C. temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is one of D. C.'s great community traditions. We will enjoy over 400,000 lights, a live musical performance, an extensive international nativity collection, and a live nativity display.

WASHINGTON NATIONAL CATHEDRAL
For over 30 years, the Cathedral's extensive collection of nativity scenes has delighted visitors of all ages as they tell the story of the first Christmas through the lens of cultures from around the world. We will also hear a presentation from the curators of the nativity collection and displays.

ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Guest speaker Jem Sullivan, associate professor of Catechetics at the Catholic University of America. Visits to John Paul II Cultural Center, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and the Bible Museum. See the major highlights of D.
